PHOENIX, Oct. 4, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Arizona will join the national spotlight as thousands of professionals, patients, entrepreneurs and the cannabis-curious public converge for the U.S. Cannabis Conference & Expo from 10 a.m. - 5 p.m., Friday, October 5th and Saturday, October 6th, at the Phoenix Convention Center, 100 N. 3rd St, West Hall Lower Level.

Free admission is available at registration for all U.S. Military and first responders, courtesy of Leaf for Life. The conference will take place in the lower exhibit hall of the west building.

Highlights include a family-friendly kid zone, a US Military Veteran's Lounge, a Hemp Pavilion and Wellness Center, and more than 100 companies representing cannabis, hemp and CBD products and services.

With a Keynote Speech from legendary activist and founder of the Annual Seattle Hempfest in its 27th year and one of the most influential cannabis policy reform events in the world. Joining many other cannabis influencers in the speakers lineup, Celebrity and activist Tommy Chong will be on site at the event with a fireside chat style discussion. Chong is behind the fast growing "Chong's Choice" brand.

According to organizers, the USCC Expo is a "safe, family-friendly, one-stop shop" for the public to learn about the rapidly expanding cannabis, hemp and CBD industries.

Attendees can engage in face-to-face networking opportunities with industry executives and experts, expand their cannabis education, peruse the show floor, and attend in-depth breakout panel discussions on a variety of topics from cultivation and edibles, marketing and law.

An August, 2018 report by the Arizona Department of Health indicates there are more than 178,000 active medical marijuana patients in the state. Thirty states and Washington D.C. have medical cannabis programs, and nine others have legalized adult use or "recreational" programs.

Arizona industry giants such as Timeless, Copperstate Farms, Baked Bros, Infusion, Rose Law Group, KandyPens and the Marijuana Industry Trade Association (MITA-AZ) are among the many exhibitors slated to attend.
